Here’s a whole bunch of music that I’ve played on over the last few years. I’ve picked these particular tunes and artists because of their diversity and to showcase different styles of playing. I’ve tried to name most of the musicians on these tracks because they’re all people who I’ve loved playing with and they all deserve credit for their awesomeness. Who knows, maybe you’ll dig someone enough to book them, or at least stalk them online. |
Roots + Blues + Country
Ninni and Mika are two of the leading roots musicians in Finland and have played supports for Neil Young and Sting. There was such a great vibe in the studio right off the bat and with the amazing David Jones on drums it was always going to be a fun few days. I was introduced to these guys by lyricist and poet Terry McArthur who wrote all the lyrics for the CD. Australian country music legend Bill Chambers also played guitar on most songs and sang on this track.

"Scintillating Blue"From Sheryl Bailey - Reunion Of Souls
Here’s a blast from the past from a CD I recorded in New York. Sheryl and I have clocked up years of giggin’, jammin’ and hangin’ time. Great player, great educator, great human. This was a quartet with Chris Bergson also on guitar and Sunny Jain on drums. |

Acoustic Singer/Songwriter
This was an independent CD with good friend Charlie Meadows playing guitar. Esther Bertram is an ex-pat Aussie now living in London and co-wrote all the songs with Charlie. This is probably as simply and cheaply as you can produce a CD yet I love the clarity of this and remember, a good song is a good song before production. I’ve only ever spoken and played with Esther via the computer – modern times!
